The Report

Accenture's 2023 trend report focused on "control and power." People were looking for certainty in an uncertain world, despite global crises. This report investigates how emerging technologies empower consumers, as well as the consequences and ramifications of this altered power dynamic for businesses.

The Tools

At the time of the report, generative AI was a useful tool for creating quick and detailed images. We believed that this approach was the best way to describe "taking control" in the relationship between a brand and its customer. All images in the report were created mid-journey, with some edited in Dall-E. There were a few changes made in Photoshop.

The How

We made a system for the publication that used text and visual cues to enable the AI working. The resulting images were displayed in a simple way that drew attention to the text and listed the extra parameters to make the "control" method clear.
